small performance adventure’s Director Kate McCoy is doing an artistic residency in Anita’s Room at Brighton Dome and will be exploring some new creative ideas and workshops.
Join us for the afternoon on Friday 4th April between 1pm and 5pm where we will be making and displaying banners with the the theme of “cryptic protest”.
Cryptic protest is a strategy that has historically been used in repressive regimes to smuggle messages to the public that would be deemed unacceptable by authorities.
We are going to take a slightly different tack and see how the metaphorical, the fantastical and the ridiculous might be able to communicate thought provoking messages in a polarised world.
This workshop is delivered in partnership with Not Saints Edit Sweet and Communikate Design
Come and join us in the spirit of exploration as this is an opportunity to be part of the development of a brand new artistic project. No particular experience needed, curiosity and playfulness encouraged.
There will be a vegan lunch and snacks.
Places are limited, to book yours either email projects@smallperformance adventures.com or whatsapp Kate on 07786068462
