The Washing Up

Research and Development

The Washing Up is a collaboration between small performance adventures and cascade creative recovery.  Funded by Arts Council England, Pride Community Fund and a crowdfunder campaign, The Washing Up was researched and developed between November 2017 and June 2018.With original songs by Nou Ra and a set design by John Everett, it was piloted  at Your Place, Brighton Festival 2018, to rave reviews  and full houses. During this R & D phase, we also shared our work at The Railway Land Trust, Hurstpierpoint Church, Cascade Creative Recovery and Pavilions Drug and Alcohol Service.

What’s Happening Now?

In September 2018, we ran a practical and social  pedagogical (get us) workshop at The SPPA’s annual social pedagogy conference and in October performed an extract from The Washing UP at Brighton Youth Centre  as part of Creative Margin’s Politics of Space Event. We are now preparing for our Arts Council Funded tour which you can read more about here
